What's the story?

These are the stories and characters of today, the SONGS for a new world.  The audience is transported  from the deck of a 1492 Spanish sailing ship to a ledge 57 stories above Fifth Avenue to meet a startling array of characters ranging from a young man who has determined that basket-ball is his ticket out of the ghetto to a woman whose dream of marrying rich nabs her the man of her dreams and a soulless marriage.

With a powerful cast and a driving, exquisitely crafted score running the gamut of today’s popular music  SONGS FOR A NEW WORLD is a celebration of love, laughter, tears and adventure.  Don’t miss one of the most unique and inspiring theatrical performances of this – or any- season!

"It's about one moment. It's about hitting the wall & having to make a choice, or take a stand, or turn around & go back."

-Jason Robert Brown

SONGS FOR A NEW WORLD Kickstarter Project

Funding community musicals can be challenging for a non-profit organization like Musical Theatre Productions. The cost of rentals, costumes, royalties, etc. can really add up. For this production, MTP launched a Kickstarter crowdsourcing project to help cover some of our costs. Those who pledged through Kickstarter not only help support MTP but also the arts community here in London, and they received some neat rewards! Our campaign exceeded our goal back in 2014 and we raised $2700 toward the production! To read more about our Kickstarter campaign, click here.

MTP would like to give a huge thank you to

all of our 37 backers who supported our Kickstarter Campaign!
